Responsibilities

We’re looking for a Senior Radar System Engineer to guide the technical strategy, evaluation, and supplier development of Nuro’s radar sensing capability. You’ll set technical direction, raise the bar on how we evaluate and select sensors, and mentor the engineers working alongside you.

• Influence suppliers: Work directly with vendors on component level decisions and with Tier 1 module suppliers on system-level performance, cost, and reliability.
• Balance cost and performance: Make trade offs between price, manufacturability, and performance so our sensor choices are technically excellent and commercially viable at scale.

What they're looking for

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering,Telecommunication, Physics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 6+ years of professional engineering experience, with substantial hands-on work on Radar or closely adjacent sensing systems.
• Deep, demonstrable expertise in Radar fundamentals: link budget, antenna technologies, signal processing (FFT, CFAR, detection) and design tradeoffs.
