Responsibilities

We're looking for Mechatronics Integration Engineers who are curious, hands-on, and excited to deliver impactful features at the intersection of software, hardware, and real-world customer environments.

• Own end-to-end product development process of Applied's autonomy and drive-by-wire system and lead integrations from initial setup through steady-state operations
• Build a deep understanding of mining vehicle system architecture and software-hardware interactions, including reverse-engineering third-party systems
• Design and evaluate sensors, actuators, and communication technologies into existing vehicle systems
• Lead the embedded application development and integration of the electromechanical systems into mining vehicle platforms
• Act as the primary technical expertise for firmware/mechatronics systems: triage issues, collect logs/telemetry, reproduce problems, and coordinate fixes with the…

What they're looking for

• 2+ years of experience in software integration or development
• BS or MS in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
• Strong understanding of electromechanical systems, including assembly, setup, and debugging
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and software/firmware engineering, especially for real-time embedded control applications (C programming, FreeRTOS…
• Strong communication skills and comfort acting as the primary customer-facing engineer on-site
