Responsibilities

As our first Industrial Designer on Applied Intuition’s design team, your role will be to understand and solve the deeply complex workflows of our users — software engineers who develop autonomous machines and develop corresponding hardware.

• Develop design themes for hardware concepts from sketch, prototype, to production
• Build and iterate physical prototypes to inform product architecture with human factors in mind
• Work quickly to ship new features in 5 week release cycles
• Create and communicate design intent through sketches, CAD, prototypes, CMF strategy and design documentation
• Collaborate closely with PM, Eng, and BD for highly technical and complex engineering challenges

What they're looking for

• 4+ years of Industrial design experience
• Prototyped and developed hardware for software in fast-paced, technical environments
• Keen sense of human factors
• Ability to take complex engineering constraints and make user-friendly and intuitive designs
• Strong ability to hit the ground running with incomplete feature scopes and fragmented information
