• Designing and building generic resource and permissioning services that product teams use to build features safely and quickly.
• Solving hard, largely greenfield problems at scale, for example how a customer with a million agents assigns and manages access.
• Working across product teams to understand their needs, and driving adoption with changes that don't require every team to rework their code.
• Scope work as part of a large existing system: understand what exists, what could go wrong on rollout, whether a migration is needed, and how downstream teams are affected.
• Roll out changes safely and with minimal disruption to existing users, teams or systems.

What they're looking for

• Expertise in Python.
• A strong background in backend development, with comfort working across the stack where the work needs it.
• Experience with common software and system design patterns and infrastructure, including APIs, cloud infrastructure tools, storage solutions and data structures.
• Strong test design and security fundamentals.
• Care and attention to detail when changing live, business-critical systems, and the ability to learn a large existing codebase quickly.
